Un año más, Ellen Pompeo no está nominada en la categoría de Mejor Actriz de Drama, pero si que podemos votar a Meredith Grey, en la categoría de Doctora Favorita. Sólo teneis que ir aqui, buscar la categoría y votar por ella. No hay límite y podeis votar tantas veces como querais. Ya hace un año que Stella Luna Pompeo vino a este mundo, y durante los últimos 365 días la hemos visto crecer y convertirse en una niña sana y adorable. Desde aquí queremos felicitar a Stella, por ese primer añito que hoy cumple y a Ellen, por ser una madre tan fabulosa. Y como se dice en estos casos…que cumpla muchos más!!!
A year ago, a beautiful baby girl called Stella Luna Pompeo was born. For the last 365 days we’ve seen her growing up and becoming in a beautiful and adorable girl. We just want to wish Stella a first happy birthday and say congrats to Ellen, because she’s an amazing mum. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STELLA LUNA POMPEO!
No Emmy noms for Grey’s Anatomy July 8, 2010

Just two noms. Two makeup noms. That’s what Grey’s got this year. But, is it fair? There are so many people out there, asking WHY? Why Grey’s doesn’t have any noms if we have such good actors as Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers or Chandra Wilson? How did that happen after that exciting and awesome Season Finale? We think there’s a simple and easy explanation. Yeah, Season Finale was WONDERFUL. All the actors did a great job and Ellen Pompeo was the best. But, do we really think Grey’s Anatomy deserves any nom this year, after that crappy season? Sorry, but we don’t think so. All the problems and all that crappy things we had to watch for months, don’t get fixed with a two-hour episode. We are not blaming anybody. That would be stupid. But we think, things would have been different, if season six would have been different too. Everything was bad since the moment the Mercy Westers came to our lives. The script was getting worst every week, and all the characters we’ve loved since season 1 barely had a minute on the screen. We had to see how Meredith, Alex, Cristina, Derek and Bailey were pushed into the background. If you don’t write quality storylines, you can’t have a quality show, and of course, you’ll never get an Emmy nom, even when all the actors on that show are amazing.
Of course, we are not happy. We wanted the Emmy nom for Ellen. She made an amazing job in the Season Finale, and at least, she deserves the nom. We all know how difficult is win an Emmy. And we are tired. So tired. Because one more time, she has been snubbed at the Emmys. And Sandra, Patrick and Chandra too. It’s so sad. Maybe their storylines weren’t the best, but they are good actors, and because of them, every Grey’s fan, was without breath during the last Season Finale.
This is just our opinion. We are not glad with the Emmy noms this year, but if the actors don’t have a good, quality and constant storyline, they can do nothing. They can do their best, as we have watched this year, but we know that’s not enough. We don’t know if Shonda Rhimes will read this. We don’t think so, but we think she should listen us. The people who still love her show. The people who still love the characters she created six years ago. Maybe, it’s time to go back there. Go back to our favourite guys lives and stories. We hope season seven brings some changes…good changes, please. Meanwhile, we have to wait. Maybe, next year…will be Ellen’s year.
No Emmy noms for Grey’s Anatomy (Spanish) July 8, 2010

Dos nominaciones. Sólo eso. Dos nominaciones al mejor maquillaje. Eso es todo lo que Grey’s ha conseguido este año. Y muchos se preguntan, ¿por qué? ¿Por qué ha pasado esto teniendo actores tan buenos de la talla de Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson, etc…? ¿Cómo puede haber pasado esto, después de la espectacular Season Finale que nos regalaron? Esto tiene una explicación muy sencilla. Si, la Season Finale fue maravillosa. Todos los actores hicieron un gran trabajo, en especial Ellen Pompeo. Pero, ¿de verdad creemos que Grey’s se merecería alguna nominación después del desastre de temporada que todos hemos tenido la triste oportunidad de ver? Las cosas no se arreglan con un gran capítulo de dos horas. No se trata de buscar culpables. Eso es absurdo. Pero las cosas podrían haber sido diferentes si las cosas se hubieran hecho de forma diferente en la sexta temporada. Desde el 6×05, desde que los Mercy Westers irrumpieron en nuestras vidas, la serie fue perdiendo calidad poco a poco, y los guiones entraron en una espiral absurda, en la que los personajes que nos hicieron vibrar en las primeras temporadas de la serie, quedaron relegados a un segundo plano, mientras teníamos que ver como unos impostores ocupaban más minutos en pantalla que Meredith, Cristina, Alex, Derek y Bailey. Sin historias de calidad, es imposible crear una serie de calidad. Y sin historias de calidad, no se puede optar a un Emmy.
Por supuesto que no estamos contentas. Nosotras deseábamos que Ellen consiguiera al fin su nominación, porque en la Season Finale dejó claro que se la merecía. Ganar o no, es otra cuestión, pero la nominación tenía que ser suya. Pero a la vez, hay que ser sinceros, y lamentablemente (por unas circunstancias o por otras), no hemos podido dsifrutar de Ellen en la sexta temporada tanto como nos hubiera gustado. (Esperemos que este hecho cambie en la próxima temporada).
Así, que un año más, Grey’s se irá de vacío de los Emmys. No sabemos si Shonda Rhimes leerá esto. Lo dudamos, pero creemos que debería escuchar a la gente que sigue amando su serie. Que sigue amando a esos personajes que ella misma creó. Eso fue lo que hizo grande a Grey’s Anatomy. Tal vez, sea el momento de regresar a eso. De retomar las historias y las vidas de nuestros chicos, y no de la gente que no lleva ni un año en la serie. Esperamos que la séptima temporada sea el momento de ese cambio…pero un cambio a mejor. Tal vez, el año que viene, sea al fin el año de Ellen Pompeo.

Según IMDB Ellen formará parte del cast de la película The Goree Girls junto a Jennifer Aniston y SANDRA OH!
Actualmente se encuentra en producción, por lo que los datos pueden variar, pero estos son algunos datos que ya han salido:
Ellen caracterizará a Farrah, mientras que el papel de Sandra se llamará Vicki.
Entre los guionistas se encuentra John Lee Hancock, que ha escrito entre otras películas THE BLIND SIDE, con la que Sandra Bullock ha ganado el oscar este año a mejor actriz.
La película es un drama musical, centrada en los años 40, sobre unas cantantes de country encarceladas.
El rodaje de la película comenzaría a finales de este año y podríamos verla en los cines para el 2011.
Nos parece una excelente noticia, y más aún si Ellen y Sandra van a trabajar juntas. Estaremos atentas y esperando más información sobre esta película que estamos seguras de que va a ser muy interesante y a la vez muy divertida.
According to IMDB, Ellen is going to do a new movie: The Goree Girls, with Sandra Oh and Jennifer Anniston. It’s going to be released in 2011, it’s a drama musical. It’s a true story about a female country band in a prison in 1940. Sandra Oh would be played Vicky, Ellen Pompeo will be a woman called Farrah and Jennifer Aniston will pay a character called Trisha Durant.
This is an execellent new, and we can’t wait to see Ellen and Sandra in a big movie like this one. Guee we’ll have more info about the movie in the next months.

Ellen se ha unido a la “American Cancer Society”, y es la encargada de protagonizar una campaña para ayudar a las mujeres a prevenir el cáncer. La campaña lleva por título “Choose You”, y en ella Ellen, da consejos sobre hábitos saludables que se pueden seguir para prevenir esta enfermedad, así como contar siempre con el apoyo de los tuyos y acudir a revisiones periódicas.
Bien hecho Ellen! Con esto solo podemos admirarla aún más si cabe, ya que nos demuestra lo humilde y solidaria que es, prestando su imagen para este tipo de campañas.

Ellen Pompeo has joined to the “American Cancer Society” in a new initiative called “Choose You”. This campaign is designed to inspire women to take action and put their health first in order to stay well and help prevent cancer. Ellen knows firsthand how important it is for women to put their health first. “My daily schedule is quite hectic, but I have to put my health first in order to be the best mom and wife I can be,” said Pompeo.
Well done Ellen! We admire her more and more every day. She’s an admirable woman!
